Overview

If you already have a Polygon wallet with USDC, you can import it into anumaan bot to start trading immediately. This is ideal for experienced users who want to use their existing funds.
For experienced users: Importing a wallet requires your private key. Only proceed if you understand wallet security and private key management.

Prerequisites

Before importing, make sure you have:
  • ✅ A Polygon wallet address
  • ✅ The wallet’s private key (64 characters, hexadecimal)
  • ✅ USDC balance on Polygon network (optional, but needed for trading)
Your wallet must be on the Polygon network (not Ethereum mainnet). If your USDC is on Ethereum, you’ll need to bridge it first.

How to Import Your Wallet

1

Start the Import Process

When you first use the bot, select “Import Existing Wallet” from the welcome message.Or use the wallet import command:
/wallet_import
2

Prepare Your Private Key

Locate your wallet’s private key. This is typically:
  • A 64-character hexadecimal string
  • Starting with 0x (optional)
  • Stored in your wallet application or backup
Common wallet apps:
  • MetaMask: Settings → Security & Privacy → Reveal Private Key
  • Trust Wallet: Wallet → Settings → Show Secret Phrase → View Private Key
  • Hardware Wallet: Export private key through device interface
Critical Security
  • Only send your private key in a private chat with the bot
  • Never share it in groups or with other users
  • Double-check you’re messaging the correct bot username
  • Clear the message after successful import if possible
3

Submit Your Private Key

When prompted, send your private key to the bot. The bot will:
  1. Validate the key format
  2. Derive your wallet address
  3. Link it to your Telegram account
  4. Confirm successful import
The bot accepts private keys with or without the 0x prefix.
4

Verify Import Success

After successful import, check your wallet:
/wallet
You should see:
  • Your wallet address
  • Current USDC balance
  • Available trading funds
If your balance shows $0, you may need to fund your wallet with USDC on Polygon.

Security Measures

What Happens to Your Private Key?

When you import a wallet:
  1. Encrypted Storage: Your private key is encrypted using industry-standard encryption
  2. Secure Operations: All transactions are signed in a secure enclave
  3. Never Exposed: The key is never logged, displayed, or transmitted unencrypted
  4. Database Security: Keys are never stored in plain text
While we implement strong security, you remain responsible for:
  • Securing your Telegram account (enable 2FA)
  • Keeping your device secure
  • Not sharing bot access with others

Best Practices

Before sending your private key, verify you’re talking to the official bot:
  • Official username: @anumaan_bot
  • Check for verified badge (if available)
  • Confirm via official website or social media
Consider importing a dedicated wallet for bot trading rather than your main wallet:
  • Create a new Polygon wallet
  • Transfer only the USDC you want to trade
  • Import this dedicated wallet to the bot
  • Keep your main funds in a separate wallet
Protect your Telegram account with two-factor authentication:
  • Open Telegram Settings
  • Go to Privacy and Security
  • Enable Two-Step Verification
  • Set a strong password
Periodically check your wallet:
  • Review transaction history on PolygonScan
  • Verify all trades were authorized by you
  • Check balance matches expectations
  • Report any suspicious activity immediately

Troubleshooting

If you get an “invalid private key” error:
  • Ensure the key is 64 hexadecimal characters
  • Remove any spaces or line breaks
  • Try both with and without 0x prefix
  • Verify you copied the entire key
  • Make sure it’s the private key, not the seed phrase
If your balance is zero after import:
  • Verify you imported the correct wallet address
  • Check your USDC is on Polygon network (not Ethereum)
  • View your address on PolygonScan to confirm balance
  • Wait a few minutes and try /balance again
  • Ensure USDC is in the wallet, not wrapped tokens
If you can’t locate your private key:
  • Check your wallet app’s export/backup options
  • Look for “Export Private Key” or “Show Secret Phrase”
  • Consult your wallet app’s documentation
  • Consider creating a new wallet if key is lost
If you’ve lost your private key and don’t have a seed phrase backup, those funds cannot be recovered.
If you accidentally imported the wrong wallet:
  • Contact support to reset your wallet connection
  • You can then import the correct wallet
  • Note: One wallet per Telegram account
